On January 9, 2024, authorities in Quảng Bình Province, Vietnam, launched a major operation against a large-scale illegal movie distribution network. The raid was led by the Department of Cyber Security and High-tech Crime Prevention and Control (Cyber Security Department) with Quang Binh Provincial Police. The main suspect, Phan Ngọc Tuấn, along with Ngô Quang Huy and Nguyễn Thành Nhân from Ho Chi Minh City, were arrested for violating copyright laws. The investigation revealed that since 2019, Tuấn had operated 3 websites including "bilutvt.net", "tvhayh.org", "animefull.net" distributing movies without authorization, generating significant revenue from advertising. High-tech equipment and large volumes of digital movie files were seized during the raid.
